This morning I worked with an athlete that is in a “slump” and cannot get around it. Many of us have failed at least once in our lives. The more we have failed the more sensitive we become to another failure and the more our behaviors change. I thought it might be useful to talk about dealing with failures of all kinds, either in sports, business, or personal life. It is true that having failed has a bearing on how we meet future risks, and costs us opportunities due to fear of failure.

When you are dealing with failure ask yourself these questions:

1. What caused the situation you or others?

2. What causes can you change?

To answer these focus on your strengths and abilities then overcome the situation by:
1.Remember the situation and recall how you felt

2. Write down these answers on a piece of paper

3. Draw a a picture of how you felt

4. Give this feeling a color NOW TEAR THE PAPER UP AND THROW IT AWAY AND THE FEELING SHOULD BE GONE. Try this and let me know how it worked for you.

About colormesmart

I have wroked in the field of brain trainng, children's challenges and peak performance for many years and would be excitied to share much of what I have learned with anyone interested in reading about the exciting changes in these fields. In writing about my travels and trials I hope to encite the feelings of excitement and understanding of the gifts given to those of us who work at being a change agent for children and adults wanting a better life. I am new at this type of writing and look forward to sharing the exciting days I live working to help train brains, unravel the mysteries of why children have learning challenges and share the excitement of being an olympic coach for the last four world games. It is an honor to live my life and I would love to have others share with me their feelings and needs.
